The Washington State Commercial Association of REALTORS® (WSCAR) is the premier advocate for all matters affecting commercial real estate and private property rights in Washington State.
WSCAR is a professional trade association dedicated to serving the interests of commercial/investment real estate professionals throughout the state and to enhance the profitability and professionalism of its members by offering pertinent real estate information, education, legislative advocacy, networking opportunities, a code of ethics and discounts on useful business tools and services.

Members of WSCAR are also members of Washington REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the largest trade organization in the world. Members also have access to an array of dynamic programs and comprehensive services designed to enhance your real estate career.
With dedicated lobbyists, WSCAR aims to meet the needs and lobby on behalf of the commercial real estate industry both at the state and federal levels.

Against a 20 percent permanent increase in B&O taxes for real estate brokers
Against Capital Gains Tax proposals ranging from 9 to 14 percent on commercial real estate
Against a proposed bill banning dual agency by commercial real estate brokers and firms
For revisions and reforms to liability laws for condominium developers
Against rent controls in Seattle

WSCAR and Washington REALTORS® have continuously lobbied against proposals to levy the 6.5% state portion of sales tax on professional services, which would include real estate brokerage commissions.
