Virtual & In-person Meeting

About the Event

This gathering of REALTORS® from around the state is your chance to advocate for the CRE industry and to talk directly with lawmakers. This year's topics of special interest include building decarbonization, dual agency rules, and zoning and housing density laws that impact multifamily development.

Because of Covid Safety Protocols, the event will look a little different this year. Due to restrictions at the Capitol Campus, we will not be holding in-person visits with legislators. However, there is still a lot happening with real estate-related legislation! So instead, join us either virtually or in person at the Olympia Hotel at Capitol Lake for a General Session event with guest speakers from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

  • Thursday, January 20th: WR General Session from 9-11 a.m.
  • Thursday, January 20th: Join us in the afternoon for a special commercial brokerage virtual meeting with a legislative VIP. Details to come!
  • The week of January 24th: Join us for virtual meetings with legislators who are key to commercial real estate interests in the state of WA. Stay tuned for more information and an invitation to join.

Check out the full WA REALTORS® Legislative Days agenda here.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER :

Lieutenant Governor

Denny Heck

Lt. Gov. Heck will present key points from the 2021 Housing Report. Hear details on the current state of Washington’s housing crisis—how large the crisis is, where exactly our shortage lies, housing unaffordability’s most pertinent implications (including inequitable access to housing), and its potential causes. Most importantly, he'll address critical steps needed to address the crisis.

IMPORTANT!

YOU MUST PREREGISTER BY NOON ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 13TH TO ATTEND IN PERSON. ONSITE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
